Summer Spot

Flavor of the month

The Amarena, or Sour Cherry, is a bitter cherry that grows in Central Italy and is used to prepare several sweets: gelato, jams and fruit tarts. The Amarena’s “inventor” was Gennaro Fabbri who, back in 1905, started making and selling canned sour cherries, jams and liquors.

Today, Amarena is the symbol of a long and rich tradition of Italian gelato.

For the month of July, L’Arte del Gelato, has created the Variegato all’Amarena flavor, to celebrate our craftsmanship’s tradition. The best Italian sour cherries meet our Fior di Latte (milk gelato) to offer you an absolutely unique taste.

We’re looking forward to meet you. Come visit us at our store in the beautiful Chelsea Market…and enjoy your summer!!
